Provider Profiles

At our practice, we are proud to have three dedicated optometrists who embody professionalism and approachability. Each of them takes the time to connect with individual patients, ensuring that everyone feels heard and understood. Committed to ongoing education, they stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in eye care, allowing them to offer the most current and options tailored to each person's needs. Your vision is their priority and they strive to provide exceptional care with a personal touch.

Dr. Hamel

Dr. JP Hamel was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, but moved to California with his family in the late 1970s. He grew up in Merced, California.  In 1997, he graduated from UC Davis with his  Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science.

After spending a year working at a local grocery store and as a tutor for Kaplan in Fresno, he enrolled at Pacific University in Oregon. There, at the College of Optometry, Dr. Hamel completed his thesis "Soft Toric Lens Fitting Adjustment Software" before graduating with his doctorate in optometry. He moved to Turlock to start practicing optometry in 2002.

 

In his spare time, Dr. Hamel enjoys cooking, working out, playing cards, woodworking, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Robillard

Dr. Collin Robillard was born and raised in Turlock.  After graduating from Turlock High School he attended CSU Stanislaus.  He obtained his Bachelor of Science, Masters degree in Visual Science, and doctorate in optometry from Pacific University in Oregon.

 

During graduate school, he completed research on diabetes and hypertension.  He obtained the Feinbloom Low Vision Award and The Outstanding Clinician Award.

Dr. Robillard's interest in the academic community continues as he lectures to medical residents throughout the Central Valley.

​

In his free time, Dr. Robillard enjoys recording music, hiking in the Sierra’s,  and going to the movies.

Dr. Li

Dr. Juana Li, O.D. was born in Hong Kong and immigrated with her family to the United States at a young age. She grew up in Modesto, California and pursued her undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Integrative Biology. She later attended the Southern California College of Optometry at Ketchum University and graduated with a doctorate in optometry. 

​

She has volunteered locally and abroad in locations including Albania, Palau and Compton, CA with organizations such as Angels for Sight, Remote Area Medical, and SEE International.  She currently finds great satisfaction in providing vision and eye care services to the local Central Valley community.  

 

In her spare time, Dr Li enjoys exercising, lifelong learning, vacationing, and spending time with her friends and family.
