In addition to routine vision care, we are a leader of higher level ophthalmic healthcare. With advanced diagnostic technology our doctors expertly manage ocular injuries, infections and diseases. From MRI and lab orders to co-managing surgical intervention, our team takes responsibility to provide you with the absolute best care available.
Our Story
It all started in 1950 when Dr. Ronald Julien opened his optometry office on Thor Street in Turlock. Later, Dr. Julien was joined by Dr. Jay Berry, then Dr. Alan Julien. After years of providing eye care to their community, they had outgrown their office.
In 1999, Drs Berry and Julien moved their clinic to Colorado Avenue, with the serendipitous address of "2020". Here, Drs Alan Julien, JP Hamel and Collin Robillard expanded into medical eye care services, as the scope of practice in California rapidly advanced.
By 2021, the waitlists for Drs. Hamel and Robillard were lengthening due to the increasing demand for comprehensive eye care services in Stanislaus County. Turlock Eyecare welcomed a third optometrist, Dr. Li and opened a second clinic space at 1199 Delbon Ave. in October 2022.
In 2026, the second clinic location on Delbon Ave. will become Turlock Eyecare's single home, as we work towards combining our three doctors, student interns, glasses finishing lab, dry eye center and all of our staff together, back under one roof.
As we continue to bring advancements in eye care to generations of Central Valley families, our core values remain the same as in 1950; personalized and honest care is our foundation.
